Parent Conduct & Expectations

At Dallas Premier Volleyball Club, we are committed to building a serious, competitive, and disciplined environment for athletes who want to be pushed, developed, and held to a high standard. That environment requires alignment from coaches, players, and parents. These expectations are in place to protect the culture of our gym and the experience of every athlete in it.

Parent Commitment

By entering the facility or allowing your athlete to participate in any Dallas Premier activity, you agree to uphold the standards of conduct expected of all Premier families. Participation in this program means accepting the structure, expectations, and accountability that come with being part of a high-level club.

Represent the Standard

Parents set the tone. Athletes watch how adults respond to adversity, competition, officials, coaches, and teammates. At Premier, we expect parents to model discipline, composure, and respect at all times.

  • Carry yourself with professionalism and self-control
  • Treat coaches, staff, officials, and players with respect
  • Support great effort and competitive sportsmanship
  • Reinforce resilience, discipline, and accountability
Respect the Roles

Parents are parents. Coaches are coaches. Officials are officials. Athletes are athletes. When those lines get blurred, development suffers and culture breaks down.

  • Remain in designated spectator areas
  • Do not provide sideline coaching or in-match instruction
  • Allow coaches to coach and officials to officiate
  • Address concerns at the proper time and through the proper channels
No Sideline Coaching. No Public Confrontation. No Drama.

Do not coach from the stands. Do not confront coaches during competition. Do not create unnecessary tension in the gym, at tournaments, in parking lots, in hotels, or online. If there is a concern, handle it through the proper communication process and at the proper time.

Control Emotions and Behavior

Dallas Premier has zero tolerance for behavior that is disruptive, abusive, threatening, or disrespectful. Parents are expected to maintain self-control and professionalism at all times.

  • No inappropriate language or hostile behavior
  • No intimidation, harassment, or public outbursts
  • No negative commentary toward players, coaches, officials, or families
  • No behavior that damages the team environment
Trust the Process

Not every decision will feel easy, convenient, or immediately understood. Team placement, lineups, coaching decisions, and developmental priorities are made with the bigger picture in mind. Parents are expected to respect the process and trust the staff leading it.

Support Your Athlete the Right Way

Your role is to support your athlete’s growth, not remove every obstacle in front of them. Encourage resilience, accountability, independence, and perspective. Growth happens when athletes are challenged, not protected from every uncomfortable moment.

Communicate the Right Way

If an issue needs to be addressed, communicate respectfully and professionally. Follow the 24-hour rule after games or tournaments before raising concerns. Use official communication channels. Bring solutions, not accusations.

Facility, Financial, and Club Expectations
  • Follow all facility rules and posted guidelines
  • Maintain accurate athlete paperwork and documentation
  • Honor all financial obligations to the club
  • Respect the facility, staff, and operational standards of Dallas Premier
Representing Premier

When you represent Dallas Premier—whether in the gym, on the road, or online—you represent more than your individual athlete. You represent the club, the team, and the standard we are trying to uphold. Public negativity and emotional online behavior are not acceptable.

Final Statement

Dallas Premier is not built on entitlement, excuses, or chaos. It is built on work, accountability, discipline, and belief in the development process. We expect our families to support that mission. When parents, players, and coaches are aligned, athletes thrive and teams grow stronger.
